How to choose stay rod and wires? Part 1 -General
The stay sets are an important part of LV and MV distribution lines in order to supplying additional tensile strength and to fix the pole. There are various types and installations in different countries, but most of them should contain following accessories: eyebolt, stay wire, stay rod with plate, stay insulator and dead end grip.
The below figure shows a normal design of complete stay set. The items from top to bottom respectively are: eyebolt, dead end grip, stay wire, dead end grip, stay insulator, dead end grip, stay wire, dead end grip, final is stay rod with plate. The accessories can be changed project by project, but function and performance should be same to meet design target.
